Sounds in the Spotlight was a university project to promote the importance of live music in the Newcastle region!

Sounds in the Spotlight  had friends, family and community supporters join us on the 25th of October 2019 to celebrate some of Newcastle's finest emerging performers in the iconic building of Civic in the CBD. We had an open bar, merchandise and a fabulous live music lineup in a seated venue where everyone could enjoy and relax during the event. 

We had many testimonials shining a positive light on the quality of the performances and an urge for us to hopefully return! We're grateful to all our supporters, stakeholders, volunteers and the University for helping us have the ability to make this happen.

We're especially grateful to the musicians that agreed to play for us on the night and how cooperative they were on the day!

Basically we thank everyone who was involved because at the end of the day it's about the music and how music makes us feel, and it was immensely special that Newcastle was able to execute a show like this for the community and a help to the musicians on further exposing them and their talent!
